Kellyville running group

Wednesday 6am Group Session

Every Wednesday at 6am I coach a group interval session at Samantha Riley Reserve in Kellyville. It is fast, friendly and different every week, and it is paced for your fitness, not the fastest runner in the group.

How a session runs

1. Warm up10 minutes together to get moving.
2. The planA run through of the session and the paces you will run.
3. Watch set upA quick briefing so your splits are recorded properly.
4. Intervals and cool downA short interval session, then a cool down. About 45 minutes in total.

Each session is different from the last and is built to get your heart rate up to about 85 to 95 percent of your maximum. That builds the speed and fitness that carries into the rest of your training. Want more distance on the day? Arrive a little early for a longer warm up or stay on for a longer cool down.

Coaching all week, not just on Wednesday

Every ongoing group member also gets the full Ask the Coach package: a training plan in the Final Surge app, workout videos, a running form analysis and direct access to me in your workout comments.
